After three successive years in Austria, the Iron are this year travelling to La Manga in Spain for their pre-season training camp.

Last year, the tour came midway through July, but ahead of the 2019-20 campaign Paul Hurst will take his men abroad just days following their return.

PITCHES...

Eight natural grass FIFA standard size soccer pitches, coupled with the resort's other facilities, make La Manga Club Football Centre a prime training and competition venue for top international clubs and national squads. Pitch.jpg

The Football Centre comprises eight natural grass FIFA international standard pitches, including a match pitch with a stand accommodating 800 spectators.

There is also a 5-a-side pitch, changing rooms, a press room, a High Performance Sport Centre (HPC) and a Fitness Centre (at the Wellness Centre of La Manga Club). Pitch2.jpg

FITNESS CENTRE...

The Fitness Centre at La Manga Club is the ideal place for developing your physical fitness to the full. The room has fantastic views over the complex and as far as the Mar Menor.

The centre is fully equipped with the most advanced technology supplied by the Technogym brand, providing maximum optimisation, both for guided strength work and for cardiovascular training. It also has internet connection, radio and television.

The facilities also include a well-lit 25-metre indoor swimming pool, with 6 lanes adapted for swim practice or bathing, with large windows providing unrivalled views over the resort. Our team of lifeguards and swimming instructors are always alert to swimmers’ needs and watch over their safety both in and out of the water.

ACCOMODATION...

La Manga Club offers a variety of accommodation options so you can choose which best suits your needs.

The Iron will be staying in Las Lomas Village 4* Apartment, which have been designed for for those who seek greater independence and peace of mind, while still enjoying all of the resort's magnificent facilities.

Located very close to La Manga Club's Wellness Centre, the Village offers exceptional views across the resort towards the Mar Menor and the Calblanque Natural Park. 

Image.jpgLas Lomas Village 4* Apartments were built in 1987, in the style of a typical Mediterranean village. The original project by architect Jaime J. Bourne, originally featured two phases with 79 apartments and a special emphasis on leisure facilities including a swimming pool, tennis court, leisure and commercial facilities.

The last phase of Las Lomas Village 4* was completed in 2003, with the opening of 120 new apartments including 20 panoramic rooms with hotel-style service and Wellness Centre facilities.

The accommodation available is very varied, with apartments hosting magnificent panoramic views that include breakfast and hotel service.

Many well-known football teams have trained at La Manga Club including Spain and England national squads, national women's and U19 and U21 teams and a huge number of clubs from different countries, including:
