The Iron drew 0-0 with the Tangerines at Glanford Park, as the result kept them one point above the relegation zone in 20th.
However, Webster believes United are going in the right direction and says the squad can build on the point earnt against Blackpool. Indeed, victory on Monday could take them up to 16th.
The defender spoke to iFollow Iron after the game on Good Friday and said: "We kept a clean sheet, which we haven't had in a while, so there are definitely positives to take from the game.
"We could have maybe had a couple of penalties and Novs (Lee Novak) had a good chance, but on the flip side Jak (Alnwick) made a few decent saves too. We'll take the point and look to move onto Charlton on Monday."
He continued: "It probably was a fair result. However, in the last ten minutes or so, we threw everything at them as we tried to get a goal."
The 0-0 draw at Glanford Park saw the Iron register their first clean sheet in 10 league games.
That was the first time United were able to shut the opposition out since Accrington back in February.
As a centre-back, Webster was pleased with the defensive display on show against Blackpool.
He said: "If we can do our job as a team and a back four to shut them out, then it gives the attacking players a little bit of a boost going forward."
The 32-year-old put in a fine shift against Blackpool to help his team earn a point and hopes to be able to push on in the final three games of the season.
Webster joined the Iron from Millwall in January and is happy to be playing his part.
He added: "It's been good. I've played three or four games on the bounce now, so I'm happy to be back in the team and it's up to me to try and stay there."
The defender will be hoping to keep his spot when the Iron travel to Charlton on Monday, and says the team can take plenty of positives for the trip down to the capital.
He stated: "We can take a lot of confidence to Charlton. Friday was a step forward. We know what we want to do as a team, we want to be organised and deal with crosses in the box, so then we can get our attacking players on the ball.
"We now go to Charlton with confidence, we kept a clean sheet which is a positive and hopefully we can get a result there.
"It's a good thing for us that the games come thick and fast. Every player will say they enjoy playing games, so the more matches we have, the better it is."
He went on to say: "I'm excited for the Charlton game.
"It's a great place to play football, it'll be a good atmosphere and hopefully we can upset them. The games are ticking down, there's only a few left to play, so we know we need to get more points on the board and we'll be looking to do that again at Charlton."
