Iron midfielder James Horsfield has joined Scottish Premier League side Dundee on loan until the end of the season.

So far this season, Horsfield has made 15 appearances in all competitions, which includes seven starts. He also netted United’s goal in the behind-closed-doors friendly against a Middlesbrough XI on Tuesday.

The 23-year-old joined the club from Dutch side NAC Breda in the summer and had previously been on the books of Manchester City.

The midfielder links up with fellow teammate Andy Dales, who is also on loan at the Scottish side and he joins the Dee ahead of their home SPL encounter against Motherwell on Saturday.
