“I think whenever you come from behind it shows a positive mental attitude and real grit," he started. “I think we’ve got to take that into the next game as well. If we do go behind we know we can come back from it (like at Altrincham too).
“You can’t just down tools in this game when you go behind - you’ve got to work even harder and be even more confident to get on the ball and make things happen. Regardless of the final score, I think we put 110% effort in and when we did what we did well, we had chances and we got it down and played to exploit their weaknesses.
“Going into the dressing room disappointed not winning rather than disappointed losing, it’s always a good disappointment to have, knowing that you got a point but could have had all three. Obviously you want to take as many points as possible but a point on the board is better than no points."
Speaking about his experience since joining the club, Marsh revealed: “Playing games is what I’ve needed so I am enjoying it.
“National League football is different to other levels, but you’ve just got to adjust to that and then use your strengths in certain scenarios so I’m looking forward to the challenge.
“I think I’ve worked hard and done well, I’ve spun in behind when I had the chance and got onto the ball. I think each time I go out I’ll keep improving as well. It was a big decision to move from Barnsley, but I love playing football and obviously the more I play here the more chance I play when I get back there as well so I’m going to put 110% effort in here and then see where it takes me."
When asked about his opinions on working under Iron interim manager Tony Daws and assistant Michael Nelson, Marsh replied: “It’s been really good, they’ve been a pleasure to work under and I’m really enjoying it so I think we can do good things under the both of them. We’re hoping to go one step further now and start putting three points on the board so we’ll take all the positives from Saturday and take it into next week.
“When you have an experience of loss after loss, you’ve got to bottle it up and you’ve got to not want to feel like that no more. I think I’ve come in and tried to lifting spirits with the boys and going forward, I think we’ll do really well."
Finally, relating to the likeness between him and fellow loan signing Rob Apter and what they bring to the team, Marsh stated: “I think we’ll attack and then get back in. Joe (Nuttall) is a key point in that as well because he allows us to get forward by pinning it, holding it up and laying it off for us so I think it’s going to work very well."
