John passed away last week with his wife Christine and his son John Jr by his side following a short illness, with the Iron losing a legend, a club historian and a supporter of over 60 years.
Staff at the football club wish to pay their final respects to John, and therefore the decision has been taken to close the ticket office and club shop on the day of his funeral to allow everyone to attend the funeral, should they wish to do so.
John will be making his final journey via the Attis Arena, and is scheduled to make his final visit at around 10.20am before arriving at Woodlands Crematorium for 10.40am.
John's family would very pleased if supporters were to wear Scunthorpe United kits or colours at his funeral service.
John's wake will be at his second home, the Attis Arena, with details to be confirmed in due course.
