United host Rovers management duo Grant McCann and Cliff Byrne, both former players of Scunthorpe, as they prepare for life back at the Eco-Power Stadium in Sky Bet League Two for the 2023-24 season.
The game will bring the first opportunity for Iron fans to see the new recruits take to the field at Glanford Park in claret and blue, with 10 through the door at the time of writing.
It'll be the first time the two sides have met since the back-to-back meetings at Glanford Park in November 2021 when an FA Cup encounter - which ended in a 1-0 victory for the away side - was backed up three days later in the EFL Trophy with a 3-2 encounter in favour of the visitors. Ryan Loft and Jake Scrimshaw netted for Scunthorpe on the day.
