Darren England will referee the Iron’s home fixture with Port Vale at Glanford Park this Saturday. It will be the second time England has taken charge of a United match this season, after officiating the away game at Oldham Athletic earlier on in the campaign.

So far this season, England has refereed 26 games and, in those, he’s produced 69 yellow cards and dismissed five players.

Throughout 2015-16, the official was the man in the middle on 30 occasions, showing 97 yellows and sending off six players.

He’ll be joined on Saturday by assistant referees Alan Young and Nigel Smith, with Paul Thompson taking up the role of fourth official.
