United midfielder Matt Crooks is looking to rack up back-to-back victories, when the Iron visit Millwall this weekend.
The Rangers loanee says it’s important to build on a good win over Bradford City last time out, and he’s confident of doing so.

Crooks told The Iron PlayerHD: “They’re on our heels, so we need to make sure we keep those teams who are coming up behind us there.

“We’ve just got to concentrate on our own game - we know how it feels to be on a bad run of form.

“We know they’ll be wanting to put it right but, at the same time, we want to win consecutive games for the first time in a while.

“It was an exciting game on Sunday, but the most important thing was that we got the win, and we need to take that into the game on Saturday.”

The 23-year-old has impressed since making the switch from Ibrox in January but, with just six games left to play, Crooks wants to end the campaign as successfully as possible.

“It’s an important time in the season now, so I’ll try to get as many minutes as I can for the team, and try to do my bit,” Crooks declared.

“This is the exciting time now. All the games are vital, but this is the crunch time and I’m sure it’s going to be nerve-wracking for the fans. I’m looking forward to it.”

Crooks’ winner against the Bantams on Sunday saw him score in consecutive matches for Scunthorpe, and goals are something he’s looking to get more of moving forward.

“It was nice, but it was good to get the win,” he stated.

“I’ll take any goal as it comes, so it was nice to get another one, and hopefully I can now get a few more.

“Everyone loves scoring goals, but if I do find myself in those sort of positions I do try and take my chances.”
