Midfielder Andrew Crofts became the eleventh player to be capped while with the Iron on Tuesday night after receiving his 29th senior cap for Wales.

The 33-year-old was announced as a replacement for Aaron Ramsey on Sunday after the Arsenal player withdrew from the squad ahead of their home friendly with Panama.

He came on in the 66th minute in the game and was on the pitch when Wales took the lead with 15 minutes left to play. He almost doubled the advantage himself with a thunderous effort somehow kept out of the net.

Wales would concede late on and draw 1-1 at the Cardiff City Stadium.

He joins Clayton Lewis, who became Scunthorpe's tenth capped player at the weekend, among the 11 now representing their country while registered to the Iron.
