Nicholas Kinseley will be the man in the middle for the Iron's home league clash against Barnsley.

The Essex-based official arrives at Glanford Park for his third EFL game of the campaign, with both of his previous two coming in Sky Bet League One.

His first game of the campaign was Wycombe Wanderer's return to the division as they drew 0-0 with Blackpool. He dismissed the Chairboys' Michael Harriman for a second caution with minutes remaining. His last game was at the Memorial Stadium as Accrington Stanley won 2-1 on August 11th.

He's taken charge of the Iron on just two occasions, both of which have resulted in victories, but Saturday will be his first game at Glanford Park. In those two games, he's shown just two yellow cards.

Meanwhile, he's refereed Barnsley just once - their 3-2 away defeat at Peterborough United in November 2015. All five goals had been scored when he showed the Tykes' defender Kevin Long a straight red card.

In 2017-18, he took charge of 29 games, issuing 124 yellow cards and six red.

On Saturday, Boyeson will be assisted by Ken Haycock and David Benton, while Christopher Ward has been appointed as the fourth official.
