On-loan Iron attacker George Thomas earned his second senior cap for Wales in their 1-0 UEFA Nations League win away to the Republic of Ireland on Tuesday night.

The Leicester City forward earned his first cap back in May, and came on as a 75th minute substitute at the Aviva Stadium this time around.

The victory for Ryan Giggs’ side was secured by a Harry Wilson free-kick.

Thomas will now return to England and Glanford Park as United prepare for Saturday’s trip to take on Wycombe Wanderers.
