Chris Pollard will take charge of the Iron's home league encounter against Crawley Town on Saturday.

The Bury St Edmunds-based official will take charge of the two sides for the very first time competitively following his promotion to the National List of Referees after two campaigns on the National League.

The 36-year-old was officiating on both the National League and the Premier League 2 competitions in 2018-19, but has made the step up to the EFL.

His first game on Sky Bet League Two came a week ago at the OneCall Stadium when he took charge of Mansfield Town's 2-2 draw with Morecambe. In the encounter, he issued four cautions and one red card.

Last season, he took charge of a total of 16 matches in the National League, showing 61 yellow cards and no reds.

On Saturday, he will be assisted by Alan Clayton and Barry Gordon, while Stephen Wade will assume the role of fourth official.
