The Iron's Under-23s side return to action with their first Central League clash of the season, away at Grimsby Town on Tuesday, October 15th (2pm kick-off).

SCENE-SETTER

The match will be played at Blundell Park, with admission costing £3 adults and £1 for over-65s and under-18s.

We will be providing live text coverage from the game on our Twitter feed, which can be accessed here,

The game will see Russ Wilcox's side look to bounce back from the 3-1 Central League Cup loss at Port Vale last week, which came days after a strong performance against a Level 1 West Bromwich Albion side.

TEAM NEWS

With no midweek game for the first team, manager Paul Hurst may provide a selection of players who haven't played a part in recent games to Wilcox so they can receive some game time.

Andy Dales and Jacob Bedeau were involved last week, but were out of contention for the first team's home clash against Northampton Town at the weekend due to calf injuries sustained against Vale for the Under-23s.

Clayton Lewis is now back from international duty with New Zealand Under-23s too, so comes into contention.

Elsewhere, Jack Lambert will continue to miss out as he recovers from an ankle injury. John McAtee (shoulder) and Omar Sanyang (ankle/leg) remain sidelined.

A number of Under-18s players could be involved too, following a hard-earned 2-0 win over Lincoln City at the weekend.

LAST LINE-UP: Kelsey, Horsfield, Bedeau (O’Malley, 74), Hornshaw, Cummings (Rowe, 55), Butler, Butroid, Pugh, Potts (Jessop, 55), Ben El-Mhanni, Dales.
