Oliver Langford will take charge of the Iron's away Carabao Cup encounter against Barrow on Tuesday.

The West Midlands-based official will arrive at Holker Street for his second game of the season. The current campaign is his 14th in the EFL.

His first competitive game of the season came at the weekend as he took charge of the 1-1 draw between Queens Park Rangers and Millwall in the Championship. A Select Group Two match official, Langford predominantly officiates in the second tier of English football.

Langford has taken charge of three previous Iron games, with the last almost five years ago. All three of the games have come away from home, with one coming in the first round of the same competition - which saw United beat Accrington Stanley 2-0. Across the games, he's shown five yellow cards and one red.

Meanwhile, he's officiated Barrow once, with that game coming back in 2012 in the FA Cup. Barrow won that match 1-0 against Guiseley, with three cautions shown.

Last season, he took charge of a total of 30 matches, showing 107 yellow cards and six reds

On Tuesday, he will be assisted by Nick Greenhalgh and Philip Dermott, while Natalie Aspinal will assume the role of fourth official.
