Scunthorpe United will host Sky Bet League One side Burton Albion in their final warm-up game ahead of their Vanarama National League North campaign.

The encounter will take place at Glanford Park on Saturday, July 29th (3pm kick-off).

Taking place just seven days prior to the first competitive game of the campaign, the match will represent Jimmy Dean's final opportunity to ready his new-look squad for the season ahead.

For Burton, they'll be a week away from their latest term in League One, as they look to improve on a 15th placed finish last season.

The two sides met in pre-season at Glanford Park two years ago, when the Iron registered a 2-1 win courtesy of goals from George Taft and Tyrone O'Neill. You have to go back a further four years for the last competitive meeting when it was the Brewers who won 3-0 in League One, while United had progressed in the FA Cup five months earlier following goals from James Perch and Lee Novak.

Tickets details for the encounter will be confirmed in due course.
