The Iron travel to Brackley Town in search of Emirates FA Cup progression to the Third Qualifying Round following a goalless encounter on Saturday.

United come into the game five unbeaten following three wins and two draws in all competitions, and will go to fifth-placed Brackley to compete at St James Park for the right to play either Braintree Town or Canvey Island in the next round.

Kian Scales will serve the second of a three-match ban following his sending off at Alfreton Town two weekends ago.

New signings Connor Smith and Jack Jenkins are among those in contention to deputise for the former Bradford City midfielder, with Smith starting against Buxton and Jenkins starting at the weekend.

Reagan Ogle will continue to miss the next couple of weeks with an intercostal cartilege issue, with Ross Barrows recalled from his loan spell at Ilkeston Town. Michael Kelly was given the nod in the Aussie's absence at the weekend.

Captain Michael Clunan and Jason Law continue their recoveries, while Callum Roberts underwent surgery last Thursday.

Elsewhere, Alfie Beestin is expected to be back on the grass later this week.

THE OPPOSITION

Including Saturday's goalless draw, Brackley are without a win in three games in all competitions having suffered their first defeat of the campaign at Scarborough Athletic.
