Iron Chair attends Women in Leadership event at John Leggott College

Chair Michelle Harness this afternoon attended a Women in Leadership event at John Leggott College, celebrating the achievements of women across education, business, and the wider community.

The event brought together inspirational speakers, professionals, and students to share experiences, discuss leadership pathways, and encourage greater representation of women in leadership roles. Attendees took part in thought-provoking discussions focused on confidence, career development, and breaking down barriers in traditionally male-dominated spaces.

Michelle joined the event hosted by JLC’s Vice Principal Claire Haller, in support of its core aims, engaging with students and fellow attendees and contributing to conversations around leadership, ambition, and personal growth. Her attendance highlighted the importance of visible role models and open dialogue in empowering the next generation of female leaders.

Speaking about the event, Michelle said: “It was inspiring to see so many talented and motivated women coming together to share their journeys and support one another. Events like this play a vital role in encouraging confidence and ambition, particularly among young women who are just beginning to explore their leadership potential.”

John Leggott College continues to host initiatives that promote equality, inclusion, and aspiration, with the Women in Leadership event standing as a key example of its commitment to personal and professional development.
