Attacker Callum Roberts will depart to join an EFL club after three incredible seasons with The Iron.
Scunthorpe United can confirm that attacker Callum Roberts will depart the club to join an EFL side.
The 29-year-old winger came to the Iron from Aberdeen three years ago and quickly became one of the most exciting players at this level.
During the 2024-25 season, Roberts was the club's leading scorer with 20 league goals in his 43 appearances while helping secure promotion. The following campaign proved even more productive, accumulating 32 goal contributions, with 21 of those goals across 48 matches.
His individual honours include winning the Ernie Storey Memorial Trophy twice — an unprecedented achievement. His name is etched twice into those history books, something that had previously never been achieved.
Though the club extended a contract offer, Roberts accepted an opportunity elsewhere that the organisation recognised as superior. The door always remains open.
Everyone at Scunthorpe United thanks Callum for his incredible contributions and wishes him every success in his EFL career.
