Making its debut for Saturday's victory over Hartlepool United, Scunthorpe United is delighted to be working in partnership with Study United as they launched their new "Kids Area" located in the Lincolnshire Co-Op Family Zone.
Scunthorpe United is delighted to be working in partnership with Study United as they launch a brand-new Kids Area within the Lincolnshire Co-op Family Zone at the Attis Arena.
The initiative, delivered by Study United’s Community and Family Engagement (CaFE) team, made its debut during Saturday’s home fixture against Hartlepool United, giving young Iron supporters a new space to enjoy before and during matchdays.
As part of the National Year of Reading, children visiting the Kids Area will have the opportunity to choose a book to take home with them, encouraging young supporters to develop a love of reading alongside their passion for football.
The area will also provide children with the chance to get creative by colouring, writing and sending letters to their favourite Iron players. Supporters can post their letters at the Kids Area, with the possibility of receiving a reply from the player they have written to!
The new initiative aims to provide an engaging and welcoming environment for young supporters and their families, while combining football, creativity and literacy as part of the matchday experience at the Attis Arena.
Scunthorpe United would like to thank Study United, especially Sarah Tiplar and the rest of the team behind the scenes, for their continued work within the community and for helping to make the Lincolnshire Co-op Family Zone an even more enjoyable experience for young Iron supporters.
The Kids Area will be available at every home fixture, giving children attending matches throughout the season the opportunity to get involved.
