Scunthorpe United players will return for pre-season testing in individual slots across three days (Monday, June 24th-Wednesday, June 26th) before pre-season commences on Monday, July 1st.

With the Vanarama National League North season beginning on Saturday, August 10th, training commences 41 days prior to the start, with new first team manager Andy Butler checking his players are in shape a week prior.

During testing, the players will be undertaking the VO2 Max test, in association with North Lindsey College.

What is the VO2 Max test?

VO2 max measures how much oxygen your body uses while exercising. It's a common tool to understand your fitness level. The more oxygen you inhale, the more energy your body can use. Higher VO2 max usually means better physical fitness.

Once the players return to full training on Monday, July 1st, there will be full coverage on our social media platforms and website.
